OXVA VPrime 2 Pod Kit

Pick a pod kit and the e-liquid rarely gets a second thought, but the two are more connected than most people realise. The OXVA VPrime 2 ships with two different pod resistances for exactly that reason, one tuned for nic salts, one tuned for thicker freebase juice, so the kit itself is only half the story. Get the pairing right and flavour, throat hit and vapour all improve together.

The VPrime 2 is the newer, bigger-battery version of one of OXVA's best-selling pod kits, across six colourways - now with a 3400mAh cell, a full 60W of output and a colour screen that actually tells you what's going on.

Built around getting the most from your e-liquid

Where a lot of pod kits give you a single fixed coil and expect one type of juice to fit every situation, the VPrime 2 comes with both a 0.4Ω and a 0.6Ω dual mesh pod in the box. That's a deliberate choice, and it means the kit can flex between a mouth-to-lung nic salt setup and a more open, direct-lung shortfill setup without buying anything extra. Below we've broken down exactly which e-liquids from our range suit each pod.

Key Features

3400mAh battery. OXVA's largest VPrime battery to date, enough for most people to vape through a full day without needing the charger, and fast enough to top up via USB-C (5V/3A) in well under an hour.

5W to 60W output range. Covers both included pods comfortably, from a gentle 20W nic salt draw right up to 38W for denser vapour on shortfill juice.

UniTech 3.0 dual mesh coils. Dual mesh construction heats e-liquid more evenly than a single mesh coil, which means a fuller flavour hit from the first puff. OXVA states this design delivers up to double the flavour and lifespan of a standard single mesh coil.

0.98 inch colour display. Wattage, resistance, mode and battery percentage are all visible at a glance, so you can actually see what setting is producing the flavour or throat hit you like, and repeat it.

Boost and Eco power modes. Boost pushes towards the top of the wattage range for bigger clouds and a stronger e-liquid flavour hit, Eco caps output lower to make a tank of juice and a charge last longer.

Auto-draw with manual fire button backup. Inhale to fire like a disposable, or switch to the button for manual control, both are available on the same device.

Adjustable airflow. A rotating AFC ring changes how much air mixes with vapour on the draw, opening it up brings out more of an e-liquid's flavour notes, tightening it down gives a denser, warmer hit.

Zinc alloy shell with IML finish. The colour is moulded into the panel rather than printed on, so it holds up to daily use without the finish wearing thin.

Compatibility Guide

The VPrime 2 is a closed-pod system built specifically for its own Dual Mesh pods, it won't accept pods from OXVA's Xlim range or from other manufacturers.

Compatible pods: OXVA VPrime 2 (Dual Mesh) Replacement Pods, available in 0.4Ω and 0.6Ω. These will be added to our replacement pods range shortly and linked here directly once live.

Compatible e-liquids: Both nicotine salt e-liquids and standard freebase or shortfill e-liquids work in the VPrime 2, which one performs best depends entirely on which pod resistance you're running, covered in full below.

Charging: Standard USB-C, ideally with a 5V/3A-rated cable or plug for the quickest top-up.

Recommended E-Liquids

For the 0.6Ω pod (tighter, mouth-to-lung draw): nic salts are the better match here, the tighter draw and lower wattage suit the smoother throat hit nic salt formulations are designed to give at higher strengths.

For the 0.4Ω pod (looser, more direct-lung draw): step up to a 50/50 or higher-VG shortfill for thicker vapour and a bigger flavour hit at lower nicotine strengths.

Not sure which strength to start on? Our guide to what shortfill e-liquid is and how to use it covers nicotine shot ratios if you're mixing your own from a 0mg base.

Coil and Pod Guide

0.6Ω pod, 20W to 25W. Restricted-draw-lung style, close to the pull of a cigarette. This is the pod to reach for with a nic salt, particularly at 10mg or 20mg if you want strong satisfaction from a small amount of vapour.

0.4Ω pod, 28W to 38W. A noticeably more open draw with bigger vapour clouds and more flavour off the coil. Pairs best with lower-strength freebase e-liquid (3mg or 6mg) or a 50/50 nic salt if you still want some throat hit without going full direct-lung.

Both pods use OXVA's UniTech 3.0 dual mesh coil, which OXVA rates at up to double the lifespan of a standard single mesh coil. As a general guide rather than an OXVA-published figure, most vapers get somewhere between 200 and 300 puffs of total coil life per pod, that's across several refills of the 2ml tank rather than from a single fill, before flavour starts to noticeably drop off, though this varies with wattage, e-liquid VG/PG ratio and how often you're vaping.

Usage Advice

Let a new pod sit filled with e-liquid for five to ten minutes before your first draw, this gives the wicking material time to fully soak through and avoids a dry or burnt-tasting first hit, a step that matters even more with thicker, higher-VG e-liquids.

Top the pod up little and often rather than filling it to the very top in one go, e-liquid needs some headroom to move around inside the pod as you vape.

Keep your wattage matched to whichever pod is fitted, running a 0.6Ω pod near the top of the 0.4Ω pod's range will burn the coil out faster and can turn good flavour into a burnt one within days.

If you're switching e-liquid flavours or brands, it's worth fitting a fresh pod first, residual flavour in a used coil can muddy a new juice's taste for the first few fills.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which e-liquid should I use in the OXVA VPrime 2?

It depends on the pod. The 0.6Ω pod is built for nic salts, particularly at 10mg or 20mg strength, the 0.4Ω pod suits 50/50 or shortfill e-liquid at lower strengths like 3mg or 6mg.

Can I use shortfill e-liquid in the VPrime 2?

Yes, on the 0.4Ω pod. Add a nicotine shot to bring a 0mg shortfill up to your preferred strength, then vape as normal, the 0.4Ω pod's higher wattage range is designed for exactly this style of e-liquid.

Can I use nic salts in the 0.4Ω pod?

You can, but it's not the ideal pairing, nic salts are formulated for lower-wattage, tighter-draw setups, so they'll taste smoothest and most balanced in the 0.6Ω pod.

How long does the VPrime 2's battery last?

The 3400mAh battery typically covers a full day of normal use, actual runtime depends on wattage, how often you're vaping and whether Boost or Eco mode is switched on.

How long does it take to fully charge?

Around 45 to 60 minutes from empty using the included USB-C cable and a 5V/3A charger.

What's the maximum nicotine strength I can use?

20mg (2%) is the legal maximum for e-liquid sold in the UK, and it's also a sensible ceiling for comfortable vaping on either pod.

Is the VPrime 2 good for someone switching from smoking?

Yes, the included 0.6Ω pod gives a tight, cigarette-like draw that most ex-smokers find familiar, paired with a 10mg or 20mg nic salt for a comparable throat hit.

How do I know when to change the pod?

A burnt or flat taste, a crackling or gurgling sound, or visibly darker e-liquid in the pod window are the usual signs. Expect roughly one to two weeks per pod depending on how often you vape.

Where can I buy replacement VPrime 2 pods?

OXVA VPrime 2 (Dual Mesh) Replacement Pods in 0.4Ω and 0.6Ω will be listed on our replacement pods range shortly.

Does the VPrime 2 come with e-liquid included?

No, the kit includes both pods pre-fitted with nothing but the coil itself, you'll need to fill them with your own e-liquid before use.

What does Boost mode change?

It raises the usable ceiling of the wattage range on whichever pod is fitted, giving a stronger throat hit and more vapour, useful if the standard setting feels a bit flat with your chosen e-liquid.

Will thicker, high-VG e-liquid work in this kit?

Yes, particularly in the 0.4Ω pod, which is built for exactly that style of juice at the 28W to 38W range. The 0.6Ω pod will handle it but performs best with thinner, higher-PG or 50/50 e-liquids.

Can I switch between the two pods whenever I like?

Yes, both are included in the box and can be swapped freely, many vapers keep one filled with a nic salt and the other with a shortfill and switch between them depending on the mood.

What colours is the VPrime 2 available in?

Six finishes: Carbon Black, Mirage Blue, Mirage Pink, Mirage Purple, Shard Black and Shard Gold.

Are the VPrime 2's pods the same as the original VPrimes?

No, the VPrime 2 uses a new Dual Mesh pod design that isn't interchangeable with pods made for the first-generation VPrime.
